We get it. You’ve placed your order, you're excited, and now you’re waiting — maybe even wondering why it's taking longer than expected.
Let us take you behind the scenes.
Every Piece is Made by Hand — Literally
At Classic Home, we don’t mass-produce. Every rattan product we offer — from our lanterns to our picture frames — is crafted by hand by skilled artisans who have spent years mastering their craft. There are no shortcuts here, and that's intentional.

Craftsmanship Takes Time
Rattan weaving is not a fast process. It starts with selecting and preparing raw materials, shaping the frame, hand-weaving the body, and finishing with care. Depending on the design, a single product may take several days to complete.
We also work with remote cottage industry weavers, master framers, and finishers — each contributing to your order with their own rhythm and expertise. Coordination takes time, especially when we strive for consistency and quality in every piece.
No Pre-Stocking — Because Every Market Is Different
Unlike mass-market brands, we don’t produce or stock items in advance. Why? Because each customer, market, and country has its own specific sizing requirements, functions, or material preferences. A lantern for Japan might be different from one for Europe in both size and color tone.
By crafting to order, we ensure your product is made with your needs in mind — not just pulled from a warehouse.
Sustainably Sourced, Naturally Slow
Our rattan is sustainably harvested, often from the northern parts of Myanmar. Sometimes weather conditions or regional instability can delay the delivery of raw materials — but we believe ethical sourcing is always worth the wait.
A Piece That’s Uniquely Yours
Each Classic Home item is slightly different — that’s the charm of handmade work. You're not getting something off an assembly line. You're receiving something woven with intention, heritage, and human hands.
Thank You for Your Patience
We know waiting isn’t always easy — especially in a world of fast delivery. But behind the delay is a meaningful process that supports artisans, respects local customs, and delivers truly special pieces made just for you.
When your order arrives, we promise — it’ll be worth the wait.
